When the family wasn't communing with the wild animals in South Africa, they got to pay golf, which is one of Phil Entzminger's favorite games, although he admits to not being very good, but despite the hazards having a magnetic appeal at some point, Phil still finds golf to be an enjoyable game. He combines his twin loves of travel and golf to visit courses near his old home of Austria, having played the Seltenheim Golf Course and the Kiagenfurt-Seltenheim course. Phil Entzminger has played all over the United States, including his favorite course at the Cypress Point Golf Club in Pebble Beach, in Southern California. His favorite aspect f that course is the spectacular weather.
Phil Entzminger also enjoys listening to music, especially jazz, which is why he makes frequent trips to New Orleans to experience what he considers "real" jazz. Phil enjoys Harry Connick Jr. and other modern jazz players, like . Greg Osby, Charles Gayle and Jacob Collier, who happens to be a particular favorite. He admits to avoiding most jazz-rock fusion, although he does like some of it and considers it all relaxing. One of his favorite things to do on a normal day is to sit back with a hot cup of coffee and listen to Connick.
